Art-Full Abstract: Rodin & Cassatt in Philadelphia
“I've been a member of Women of Culture in New York for over five years, and the standout feature of my membership has been the impeccably curated day and weekend trips. Our recent adventure in Philadelphia was no exception, showcasing Alex's exceptional planning skills.
Our day started with a private tour of the Rodin Museum’s "Hands" exhibit. Although I've visited the museum several times, experiencing it through a guided tour provided fresh perspectives and a deeper appreciation of Rodin's work.
Alex’s choice of guide was spot-on, offering insightful commentary and engaging discussions. One of the highlights of the tour was sharing the experience with fellow members, who brought their own knowledge and perspectives, enriching the visit even further. Alex also recommended the film Camille Claudel with Isabelle Adjani and Gérard Depardieu, which explores the life of Camille Claudel, Rodin’s muse and mistress, adding an extra layer to our understanding of the exhibit.
Lunch was our next highlight at Stir, located within the Philadelphia Museum of Art. This modern, art-inspired restaurant perfectly complemented the day’s theme with its innovative menu.
Following lunch, we explored the Mary Cassatt exhibit with another private tour. As the afternoon heat increased, Alex’s knack for finding the perfect local spot for ice cream was a welcome relief. The charming ice cream shop provided a delightful break as we wandered through a new Philadelphia neighborhood.
What sets Alex’s trips apart is her ability to blend meticulous planning with just the right amount of spontaneity. The well-curated itinerary ensures that everything runs smoothly, while the relaxed vibe allows for organic moments and enjoyable interactions among participants.
The result is a harmonious and drama-free experience, with great food and company. Each trip feels perfectly matched to the group, and I can’t wait for the next one!”
