Join Women of Culture on Wednesday, November 19th for an inspiring evening at NYU’s Grey Art Museum, as we explore June Leaf: Shooting from the Heart through a guided tour with art historian and crowd favorite, Helen Lee.
This powerful retrospective celebrates over seven decades of the artist’s work — from expressive drawings and dynamic paintings to imaginative sculptures — revealing the poetic and deeply personal nature of Leaf’s creative world.
Led by Helen, we’ll move through the exhibition’s thematic sections that trace Leaf’s lifelong exploration of movement, identity, and emotion — from her early surrealist influences to her later kinetic creations. The tour will invite us to slow down, observe, and discuss how Leaf’s art mirrors the human experience in all its beauty and complexity.
Then, Art-full members are invited to join us for delicious Italian meal at Bar Primi, the original location of Andrew Carmellini's beloved pasta restaurant, nearby.
