Spend the afternoon of December 19th delighting all of your senses during an art & food walk with Women of Culture Founder, Alexandra Harper. We will take in the unique sights, sounds, and tastes that make the Lower East Side such a rich and amazing neighborhood, with a focus on female artists and female-owned businesses. We will discuss the ever-changing history of this neighborhood and experience first-hand how it is representative of the true essence of the city as a whole.
This walk features stops at 3-4 galleries, all showing a diverse array of contemporary female artists. You will also learn about the local street art as we pass by a few favorite food purveyors, where snacks can be purchased for an additional cost.
This is a great opportunity to take a deep dive into some of NYC's most beautiful and fascinating neighborhoods, learn about the history and meet new friends along the way. The route and galleries featured on the walk are different every time, so each walk is new even for those who have attended in the past.

More about the neighborhood:
The area nestled between Houston and Canal St on the north and south and the Bowery and the East River on the east and west is one of the most vibrant in the city. Influenced by the many diverse ethnic groups and immigrants who have made NYC their home, it feels like a microcosm of what NYC is all about — a melting pot of cultures, entrepreneurship and creativity. There is always something new to discover here, and this tour is all about taking the time to notice the richness and beauty that comes with this diversity.
