After an extensive renovation, the historic Gilded Age mansion has finally reopened its doors, offering fresh access to the second-floor galleries, beautifully restored interiors, and a renewed presentation of masterpieces by Rembrandt, Vermeer, Bellini, and more.
The Frick is celebrated not only for its world-class art collection, but also for its unique setting inside the former home of industrialist Henry Clay Frick. Unlike most museums, the Frick maintains the intimate atmosphere of a private residence, allowing visitors to experience masterpieces in richly furnished rooms that reflect the elegance and grandeur of early 20th-century New York. The renovation has preserved this charm while opening up more spaces for the public to enjoy, making this a particularly special time to visit.
Adding to the excitement, the Frick will also feature a special exhibition of works by Flora Yukhnovich, whose contemporary, Rococo-inspired paintings offer a striking dialogue with the museum’s historic collection.
