Start your weekend by delighting all five of your senses during a personalized art & food walk with Women of Culture Founder, Alexandra Harper. We will take in the unique sights, smells, sounds, and tastes that make the Lower East Side such a rich and amazing neighborhood, with a focus on female-owned & run businesses.
We will see some of the best visual art in the city, both indoors and out, take in beautiful views from a hidden rooftop bar, explore a secret street art museum and munch on savory snacks as well as sweet treats sure to satisfy your sugar cravings.
The Lower East Side is one of my favorite neighborhoods, and I will point out some of my most cherished shops, restaurants and bar along our route. We will make stops at 6-7 off-the-beaten-path LES attractions, including 2-3 galleries, 1 coffee shop, 1 bar, and 2 snack stops, hearing from the experts at each (samples included but additional food/drink should be purchased on site). This tour is perfect for visitors as well as long-time New Yorkers looking for a new perspective on the city.
Cost: $35/person; $40 through 12/29 at midnight

More about the neighborhood:
The area nestled between Houston and Canal St on the north and south and the Bowery and the East River on the east and west is one of the most vibrant in the city. Influenced by the many diverse ethnic groups and immigrants who have made NYC their home, it feels like a microcosm of what NYC is all about — a melting pot of cultures, entrepreneurship and creativity. There is always something new to discover here, and this tour is all about taking the time to notice the richness and beauty that comes with this diversity.
