This special Los Angeles gathering will feature a curator-led walk-through of Susan Vecsey and Yvonne Thomas: A Conversation on Color with The Beverly Hills Hotel curators Lily Ackerman of Ackerman Studios and Liza Shapiro of CURA Art. Presented by Berry Campbell Gallery in collaboration with CURA Art and Ackerman Studios, the exhibition brings together two extraordinary artists across generations in a striking exploration of color, abstraction, mood, and visual rhythm.
Blending Susan Vecsey’s luminous, meditative compositions inspired by landscape and light with Yvonne Thomas’ bold and expressive postwar abstractions, the exhibition creates a fascinating dialogue between contemporary and historic approaches to color and form. Guests will gain unique insight into the artistic vision behind the exhibition while experiencing the works in an intimate and conversational setting usually reserved only for hotel guests.
