Women of Culture and DIFAD (Do It For A Day) are joining forces for a special evening at The Metropolitan Museum of Art as we experience Costume Art, The Costume Institute’s highly anticipated spring 2026 exhibition exploring the relationship between fashion, art, and the human body across centuries of cultural history.
Presented in The Costume Institute’s newly expanded galleries adjacent to the Great Hall, the exhibition features extraordinary pairings of garments and artworks from across The Met’s vast collections, revealing how clothing has shaped identity, beauty, symbolism, power, and self-expression throughout time.
Spanning prehistory to the present day, the exhibition invites visitors to consider the dressed body not simply as fashion, but as a living artistic and cultural language.
Our evening will begin with a special introduction and overview of the exhibit before guests will have time to independently explore the exhibition galleries at their own pace. While no formal guided tour will be offered, we have personally designed an interactive activity to help guests connect more deeply and get the most from the experience. We will then share our reflections and impressions over an optional dinner at Sant Ambroeus Madison.
A New York destination beloved for its Milanese elegance and sophisticated atmosphere, Sant Ambroeus has long been a favorite gathering place for the city’s art and fashion communities.
Whether you are passionate about fashion, visual art, design, history, or simply enjoy intellectually and culturally enriching experiences shared in wonderful company, this promises to be an inspiring and beautifully curated evening.
What Awaits You:
The opportunity to deepen your understanding of fashion, art, and identity through expert insights, thoughtful conversation, and immersive cultural exploration
