Fleur Elise Bkln is the vision of Elise Bernhardt, a producer of site-specific dance performances and long-time Executive Director of cultural organizations, turned passionate floral designer and teacher.

In Japan, floral design is seen as a life skill and a spiritual practice. At Fleur Elise, we believe that working with flowers is calm, creative, and collaborative. Our classes and workshops are highly interactive (even online) and provide a framework of design principles that students can use forever.

Our workshops are extraordinary opportunities for bonding and connecting through creativity with flowers. Elise’s enthusiasm for flowers and her belief that everyone has an inner creator imbues her classes with positive energy and a sense of collaboration.

Our floral designs are all about movement. We bring our deep love of dance, architecture, and site-specific art and long experience working with choreographers to create “whimsical and sophisticated” designs focused on unusual floral textures.
