Get away from it all for a relaxing and refreshing afternoon on Staten Island!
The oft-forgotten fifth borough is not just for cops and firefighters but is full of lush greenspaces and beautiful botanical gardens, not to mention home to our favorite Sound practitioner, Alice Dow of Hearttones Sound!
On Sunday August 24th, you’re invited to join us on a journey through sound, nature and sisterhood sure to leave you feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and refreshed.
After a picturesque ferry ride across the New York harbor, complete with views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge, we’ll step into Alice’s home sanctuary for snacks, sound and sharing in a serene setting.
From there, we’ll head out for a mindful walk through the Snug Harbor botanical gardens, with the option to soak up the Snug Island Dance Festival, departing on the 5 or 5:30pm ferry back to Manhattan.
Please note we will be taking ride shares around the island - all tickets include the costs of shared rides with the group, however, if you decide to leave early or not attend one of the group activities, you will have to cover the cost of your own transportation.
This is your chance to reconnect — with yourself, with others, and with the creative pulse of life.
Note: there are 2 cats in residence, but we can fully clear them out of the space for you if you are allergic, but please let us know in advance.

12:45 PM | Meet at Staten Island ferry terminal for 1pm ferry
Whitehall/ South Ferry Terminal | 4 South St. (corner of Whitehall St.)
1:30-3 PM | Sound bath & sharing circle
Alice’s private residence (address will be shared with confirmed attendees)
3:30-5 PM | Botanical garden walk & chance to experience the Snug Island Dance Festival
Snug Harbor Botanical Garden | 1000 Richmond Ter, Staten Island
Approx. 5:30 PM | ferry back to Manhattan
