The Art of Giving Thanks: Friendsgiving at the Meadow | 11/24

from $30.00

Join us for an afternoon of giving thanks as we team up with The Meadow DUMBO for a very art-full Friendsgiving on Sunday November 24th at 4pm!

This nurturing afternoon full of gratitude and sisterhood will leave you feeling refreshed, recharged and ready to take on whatever the Thanksgiving holiday may have in store for you.

It will include a sharing circle, guided loving kindness meditation practice, light mindful movement, and expressive writing (journal to be provided), in addition to light refreshments (wine, cheese & fruit).

In true Friendsgiving style, attendees are encouraged (though not required) to bring a favorite snack or dish to share with the group. Even better if it represents any family traditions or recipes you would like to share.

The Meadow DUMBO is a creative sanctuary in Brooklyn that encourages connection through creativity by combining mindfulness and expressive arts.

Space is limited and advance registration is required. All tickets include light refreshments and journals.

More about the space & facilitator:

THE MEADOW DUMBO opened a bright and beautiful brick-and-mortar studio in DUMBO, Brooklyn in October of 2023. The studio has provided a dedicated community space for expressive arts workshops, cultural events, professional development retreats, and group celebrations.

Julie Ann Flynn is a multi-disciplinary artist, educator, and non-clinical arts therapist who is interested in exploring what it means to live well in an unwell world. Her work introduces time-tested technologies that build strong communities, encourage growth, and usher in positive change. She’s especially interested in how contemplative practice and expressive arts can support organizational and individual transformation.
